Happy Birthday Mamma

This weekend was Tracy's birthday and Flynn was super keen to get his disco shoes on and go party with her.

Friday started with a surprise party for Tracy with some of her friends. She had no idea and it was the first time that she went off to do something and left Flynn with me. I was to afraid to do anything exotic so decided to just drive. I ended up in Blacktown at the Hungry Jacks. We survived with not to many tears and Tracy had a ball with her friends.

Saturday we ended up hitting the little cafe down by Cremorne wharf for breaky. Saturday's is normally my time with Flynn but I thought Tracy could come seeing it's her birthday. In the afternoon we headed out to Di's and then met Kel and Chris for some ice cream down in Brighton-Le-Sands. Flynn was very well behaved. Actually he slept for most of the time so couldn't get up to much trouble anyway.

Probably the biggest milestone this weekend was Flynn started grabbing at his toys. He's just started to realise those mitts he keeps poking his eyes with belong to him.

Flynn's Day Out

Today was designated daddy day with me hanging out with Flynn all day. It was another pearler in Sydney so we headed out early to make the most of it. We started with a walk around Cremorne Point. Half way round I could see the Mosman ferry coming so we decided to jump on and cut a lap of the harbor. A lovely day on the water although his royal highness decided to sleep for this.

We docked back at Cremorne Point and I stopped in and grabbed a coffee. An awesome spot to chill on a day like today. From here we headed home and picked up Dasha and went to Kurraba Point park. We hung out here for awhile and then it was time for a mid morning snack so headed home.

After lunch we all got in the car and headed up to Bunnings. Daddy day got side tracked and we ended up in Baby Warehouse looking at breast pumps. Fylnn and I were thoroughly unimpressed. We couldn't get to Bunnings quick enough and Flynn got a whiff of his first weekend Bunnings sausage. After my lunch we then went and checked out some plants and power tools. Flynn was a particular fan of the Ryobi cordless series. I think it was the bright green that got him.

Flynn started getting a bit peckish again so Tracy headed to the car for a top up. Upon return I did a quick Bunno's car park nappy change. For some strange reason his number two's are smelling like KFC. Not sure what that means.

Now we're at home both thoroughly exhausted after a really fun day.

Another shocking day in Sydney with the weather. Cremorne Point walk.

A Sydney Winter Day

Today was a bank holiday in NSW and we made the most of the class weather by heading up to the Northern Beaches. We thought we better show Dash some love so we found an off leash area in Bayview which we'd not been to before and headed up there.

It was a classic Sydney winters day. 22 degrees, blue skies and no wind.

The dog run was amazing. It was on an inner harbor and had a massive grassy area as well as its own beach. Dasha was in heaven although the princess was a bit of a wimp when it came to going for a dip.

After a big run we headed to another park in Mona Vale and had lunch. Flynn was loving it under the tree in the shade. A well chilled day.

Lucky we left the horse at home.

Flynn Up Close

So one big change in the past week is Flynn has decided to grow some eye lashes. They have literally sprouted out over night. Here's a couple of up close photos and some nice smiles.

Fatty Bombastic

So our lil' man popped over the 5kg mark today. We thought he'd gotten heavier as we'd both been getting sore backs from carrying him. He's as cute as ever and keeping us on our toes. Here's a selection of pic's over the past week.
