Afro Punk Festival

I saw a flyer for this thing when we were eating at this Japanese place called Bugs the other night. I'll save that place for another blog but anything called the Afro Punk Festival must be pretty damn cool.

I headed out there with some new found Aussie friends to check it out. It was being held over in Fort Greene in Brooklyn and was a street focussed festival with music, skating, street art and bikes. It was very cool although I suspect I doubled the average age of people who went to it.

A combination of the sun and my geriatric ways meant that we moved on and headed to the Brooklyn market in Williamsburg. It was a pumping day weather wise and Williamsburg was its usual buzzing self. A mini pub crawl eventuated through a variety of places and culminated at our new found favorite BBQ place called Fette Sau.

Definitely another Why I Love NYC Part 63 day.

  1. Cant get enough of the sandshoes over the power lines shots. Nothing is ever the same. The colour and excitment, subways and parks, museums, galleries, broadway, cultures, eateries too many to mention and vibe makes it No 1 city. So lucky to have had such fantastic times there with family. Oh and a very special dog!! M & D
