After a bit of a sleep in we headed North to Marche Jean-Talon. This is a a food market on steroids. It's peak season over here and it was bursting with awesome looking produce. After aimlessly wandering for awhile our taste buds got the better of us and we started to devour some grub. Tracy went the more healthy option of mixed berries while I smashed some coffee, lasagna and a half dozen oysters.
From the market we headed south to the old town. We headed to the waterfront which was also buzzing. It was 28 degrees and I think everyone in Montreal was soaking it up before the weather goes pear shaped for winter. All the walking made us a tad thirsty so we headed to this rooftop bar for a couple of cocktails. Gave us a great spot to watch these stunt parachutists do their thing.
We continued to explore the old town and ended up getting a late afternoon snack at this cool cafe called Olive + Gourmando. It had a really cool vibe and the food was delicious. All this activity called for a little afternoon nap so we headed back to the hotel to chill.
We had a late booking at a place called Toque for dinner. It's a bit of a Montreal fine dining institution and we ended up going for the seven course banquet. It was really nice with a farm to table influence although the dining room is oh so 90's.
We're now sitting on the train on the way to Quebec City so stay tuned for more Canada action.
